A little personal history for curious minds:

You may be wondering how I got into this work of Sound Journey Meditations/Sound Healing/Sound Therapy/Sound Massage/Sound Baths…there are so many names!  It began in 2017 when I moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania, discovering that the transition across the country was much more than geographical.  I went through many more life changes than anticipated, and what helped me maneuver my way through it all was sound.  It surprised me more than it may surprise you, as I had only dabbled in playing musical instruments before this. (organ, guitar, violin).  However, I attended my first “gong bath” out of curiosity, and was immediately attracted to its mesmerizing and softening effect on my hyperactive mind and adrenals. The depth of relaxation it gave me was shocking; meditation at the time was not something I was good at practicing and my “monkey mind” was always spinning with activity.  To be able to deeply relax became a much needed gift.

I started attending sessions weekly, and found myself becoming calmer and more open for transformation than I even knew I needed.  Having fallen in love with the planetary gongs and Himalayan (Tibetan) bowls, I purchased my first bowl, then another, and another, carefully selecting hand-hammered ones of high quality that resonated with my spirit.  

As a school teacher, I found that using the bowls (and tone chimes) in the classroom had a wonderful impact on the children as well as myself.  I used them to ground us, to increase our ability to be still and listen deeply, to de-stress on challenging days and to connect as a community of learners.  My nine and ten year olds loved them!

The use of singing bowls also helped me through the challenges of COVID, teaching online, navigating some significant family situations and more.  Deep down I knew I wanted a gong and to expand my journey with sound, but wasn’t sure how I would manifest it.  

In 2022, after opening myself up more fully to the guidance of the universe, I was gifted a few crystal singing bowls.  Around the same time, I purchased my first gong, a planetary Paiste gong, Chiron, which is beyond an incredible gift in my life.  Soon, I had the incredible opportunity to acquire a variety of professional instruments, including a full set of crystal bowls, Koshi chimes, Ocean Drum and Monsoon rainstick.  It was also this year when I got back into writing poetry regularly, after a lifetime of inconsistent writing.  (Poetry has always been my language of self-expression and spiritual connection.) I realized something big was evolving and all I needed to do was to lean in and say YES.  Both sound and poetry were gifts I received and I knew they were not meant to be kept to myself.  I took another leap into coursework to study sound healing and I knew I was hooked.

On Valentine’s Day, in honor of the gift of universal love, I officially opened ResoundingWell as an LLC.  My higher power, whom I call “Grace”, has been expanding me in leaps and bounds and continues to lead me in profound ways.  I have to laugh aloud with amazement when I consider it all.  And I offer so much gratitude!

Grace has led me to step beyond the elementary classroom and into new doors and hearts.  I know I am being led to share this great work…this ministry…with others.  Already I have had the most incredible experiences supporting others with sound.   I can’t wait to see where it leads!
